MDTdesign Jewellery Design Scholarship

Overview

MDTdesign is committed to fostering creativity and excellence in the fields of jewellery design, jewellery manufacturing, and visual arts.

To support aspiring designers and craftspeople, we are proud to offer a $3,000 scholarship to assist with University or TAFE tuition fees for eligible applicants.

This scholarship is designed for individuals passionate about expanding their knowledge in jewellery design, jewellery manufacturing, or a related field.

Scholarship Inclusions

• Up to $3,000 AUD contribution towards tuition fees for an eligible University or TAFE course in Australia.
• The course must be related to jewellery design, jewellery manufacturing, design, or visual arts.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the MDTdesign Jewellery Design Scholarship, applicants must:

1. Be currently accepted, enrolled, or in the process of applying to a design-related course at an Australian University or TAFE.
2. Display a passion for jewellery design, jewellery manufacturing, or visual arts.
3. Submit a hand-drawn or sketched jewellery design created solely by the applicant.

How to Apply

Applicants must submit the following by 11:59 PM AEDT, November 30th, 2025:

1. Full name, phone number, and email address.
2. Proof of enrolment (or application) in an eligible course.
3. A hand-drawn jewellery design showcasing a wearable and creative piece such as a ring, pair of earrings, pendant, or bracelet.
4. A brief statement (up to 300 words) explaining your inspiration for the design and how this scholarship will help achieve your goals in jewellery design or visual arts.
5. Whether you will be entering the industry for the first time, or otherwise be furthering your studies.
6. Institution and course name of where you wish to study.

Selection Process

Submissions will be reviewed and graded by our team of experienced jewellers and designers. Designs will be evaluated based on:

• Creativity and uniqueness of the design.
• Wearability and practicality of the piece.
• Skill demonstrated in the drawing or sketch.

The winner will be announced on or before December 14th, 2025.

Terms and Conditions

1. Proof of Enrolment: The scholarship winner must provide proof of enrolment in a relevant course to MDTdesign before receiving the $3,000 prize.
2. Non-Contactable Winner: If the winner cannot be contacted by December 19th, 2025, their claim to the scholarship will be void, and an alternate winner will be selected.
3. Original Work: All submissions must be the original work of the applicant. Plagiarism or submission of previously published work will result in disqualification.
4. Use of Submissions: By entering, applicants agree that MDTdesign may use their submitted designs and accompanying statements for promotional purposes.
5. Non-Transferable: The scholarship funds are non-transferable and must be used solely for tuition fees.
6. Disqualification: MDTdesign reserves the right to disqualify any applicant found to have provided false information or violated these terms.
