Custom Platinum Tension Set Diamond Engagement Ring This custom made engagement ring was handmade in Melbourne, developed as a refined evolution of one of our signature tension set designs. The brief was to retain the sculptural strength of the original concept while introducing softer lines and a more substantial, contemporary feel. At the centre sits a round brilliant cut diamond, secured in a tension style setting where the stone is held in place by the precise pressure of the platinum band. This technique allows maximum light to enter the diamond, enhancing its brilliance while creating a clean, open presentation. The band features a rounded profile for a softer aesthetic, with one side flowing into a distinctive split design. This split shoulder is accentuated with a heavier flare, adding both visual balance and structural strength to the setting. The asymmetry of the design creates interest while maintaining a cohesive and wearable form.
