Dos Amigos - 2017 Jewellery Award Finalist
This contemporary 2 stone diamond ring, Dos Amigos was entered onto the 2017 Jewellery Association of Australian Jewellery Awards and was designed and handmade by Kosta Theochari, one of MDT DESIGN's Managing Directors. Entered into the Precious Metal Design Award as well as then being nominated in the Marie Claire People’s Choice award, this unique ring is entirely handmade using 18ct Rose gold and Platinum and features two tension set diamonds.
This tension set diamond style allows you to view both of these diamonds from the side. To achieve this tension setting technique, strength needs to created in the metal by forging, working and compressing the metal to make it harder, all by hand from start to finish!
