Sparta - 2012 Award Entrant -C4043

Designed by Kosta Theochari, General Manager of MDT DESIGN, “Sparta” was an esteemed entrant in the Gemstone category of the 2012 Jewellery Association of Australia (JAA) Jewellery Awards. This sophisticated dress ring is crafted from platinum with a hand-carved flat shank, showcasing a striking tension-set marquise blue sapphire at its centre. Flanking the central stone are two native cut rectangular blue sapphires, adding depth and contrast. The design is further enhanced by two end-set round brilliant diamonds and a total of sixty-two grain-set round brilliant diamonds, creating a dazzling effect. The meticulous craftsmanship and innovative use of gemstones make Sparta a standout example of contemporary jewellery design.
