Custom Tension Set Diamond Engagement Ring with Shoulder Diamonds This custom made engagement ring was handmade in Melbourne, designed to combine strength, simplicity and contemporary styling. The brief focused on creating a bold, low profile design that would be practical for everyday wear while still showcasing the brilliance of the diamonds. At the centre sits a round brilliant cut diamond, held in place using a tension style setting. The diamond is secured purely by the pressure and strength of the hand-forged metal, allowing light to enter from multiple angles and enhancing its natural sparkle. This setting also enables the ring to sit lower on the finger compared to traditional engagement ring designs. Crafted in 18ct white gold, the band features a wider profile with an emery matt finish, intentionally softening the metal’s appearance to keep the focus on the diamonds. Channel set round diamonds are set into the shoulders, adding subtle brilliance without overpowering the centre stone.
