Jewellery Warranty

MDT design provide a lifetime manufacture warranty on all our jewellery purchased here and also a money-back guarantee on all items purchased.

Our warranty covers any manufacturing faults for the lifetime of the jewellery but it is important to understand that this does not cover wear and tear of the ring. As all warrantys, it covers only agains a fault in the handmaking process of the piece of jewellery.

Should you wish to have your piece checked by an independent Jeweller’s Association of Australia registered valuer and it does not meet the criteria listed on our valuation, you may return it for a full refund within two weeks of the date of purchase.

MDT design is a member of the Diamond Guild Australia (DGA) and the Jeweller’s Association of Australia (JAA).

Jewellery Insurance

As MDT design is member of Diamond Guild of Australia we are able to offer on some items a 1 year complimentary insurance policy on your new piece of jewellery. The piece of jewellery is covered for damage or loss from the time it leaves our store for 1 year. This cover is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is covered worldwide for the value you paid for the item.

Please feel free to contact us to discuss further.

The following information is intended to help you look after your jewellery in between making it into our store. The more often you take care of your jewellery pieces, the longer they will last and the better they will look!

Although diamonds are the hardest known natural substance it is possible to damage them. Diamonds are not indestructible. Diamonds, much like wood, have a grain running through the stone. If a diamond receives a knock on the wrong angle, they can chip or break which often can lead to the stone falling out.

Do not wear your jewellery if you are doing rough work such as gardening, washing dishes, in the gym or anything where it is possible that you may knock the metal and diamonds. Metal on metal contact will bruise the metal and create dints. Do not allow your jewellery to come into contact with chlorine bleach of any other harsh chemicals. The diamond will be fine although it can tend to have a negative effect on the metal in the band and the setting. Do not mix your jewellery collection together in a drawer or case when not wearing them. You should pack them individually so as not to allow one item to rub or hit each other and damage one another.
